THE PRINCIPLES OF PROSPERITY IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD<br />

M.M.NINAN<br />

Now look at <strong>the</strong> reactions to Jesus’ statement, "how hard it is for those<br />

who have riches to enter <strong>in</strong>to <strong>the</strong> k<strong>in</strong>gdom <strong>of</strong> Heaven" The disciples<br />

were amazed. Why? Because it was contrary to <strong>the</strong> Jewish concept.<br />

Accord<strong>in</strong>g to <strong>the</strong> word, <strong>the</strong>y believed that prosperity was <strong>the</strong> sign <strong>of</strong><br />

<strong>God</strong>’s bless<strong>in</strong>g. The wealth <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Rich ruler proved it. If those who<br />

follow <strong>the</strong> commandments cannot enter <strong>the</strong> K<strong>in</strong>gdom <strong>of</strong> <strong>God</strong>, who<br />

can? Jesus po<strong>in</strong>ts out that no one can enter <strong>in</strong> through <strong>the</strong> law. Moses<br />

could not take <strong>the</strong> Israel <strong>in</strong>to <strong>the</strong> promised land. He could take <strong>the</strong>m to<br />

<strong>the</strong> border, but a Joshua was necessary to cross <strong>the</strong> Jordan, and <strong>the</strong>n<br />

only <strong>the</strong> new generation entered <strong>in</strong>to Canaan. Even <strong>the</strong>n <strong>the</strong>y were to<br />

take possession. Even so, K<strong>in</strong>gdom <strong>of</strong> <strong>God</strong> is entered <strong>in</strong> only through<br />

New Birth.<br />

6 DOES SATAN BLESS PEOPLE FINANCIALLY?<br />

The prosperity <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> wicked<br />

had always been an enigma throughout generations. How is that those<br />

who are evil and those who are ruthless and those who do not know<br />

<strong>God</strong> or acknowledge <strong>God</strong> flourish? Certa<strong>in</strong>ly it is not a bless<strong>in</strong>g from<br />

<strong>God</strong>. Thus certa<strong>in</strong>ly material possession <strong>of</strong> accumulation <strong>of</strong> wealth <strong>in</strong><br />

itself is not an <strong>in</strong>dication <strong>of</strong> <strong>God</strong>’s bless<strong>in</strong>g. Psalmist says<br />

Psa 37:35 I have seen a wicked and ruthless man flourish<strong>in</strong>g like a<br />

green tree <strong>in</strong> its native soil,<br />
