Q – Can you tell us a bit about yourself and what you are currently working on?
A - I’m currently a professional basketball player, playing in the Spanish first division (ACB - second
best league in the world). My two main things right now are photography and design. I’m currently in
the process of designing a luxury beachwear line and also doing photography whenever and
wherever I get the opportunity.
Q – What were some of the details that stood out during the process?
A - For the the main things that stand out are the smallest things. For example, in the current
process of designing my beachwear line, making sure that EVERYONE I work with has the
same vision I have, from the manufacturer, my lawyer and everyone else in between.
In photography, kind of the same. Making sure that the assistants, the models, and anyone
else on set know what your end goal is.
Q – In your collection, what are 3 of your favourite pieces of work/art that you’ve produced? (i)
A - I personally don’t have any “favourite” pieces/works. Everything I create I’m equally proud of.
21 22
Q –In your collection, what are your favourite pieces of work/art that you’ve purchased
which was produced by someone else? (ii)
A - One thing I consider my favourite was actually a gift to me from a teammate. My 85’ DS
Bred 1s.
Q – What’s one art/trend you applaud and why? (i)
A - I don’t follow trends when it comes to art. Art should be about your personal taste not
about what everyone else likes.
Q – As an artist do you speak about older generations for inspiration? If so who gives you
inspiration for your work?
A - I don’t look to the past for inspiration I get my inspiration from exploring. wherever it may
be from tumblr, taking a walk on the beach or listening to music.
Q – What’s the last great film / article you’ve seen or read?
A - No idea to be honest, haha. Great to one person could be sh*t to another.
