Midi and her husband Alois “Bubi” Seyrling transformed the simple monastery hotel into a vacation
resort. The Olympic Games in 1964 and 1976 helped to establish the hotel in Austria and pushed it as
a hot spot throughout the high-society in the 80s and 90s. Many Celebrities and crowned heads spend
their holidays in the Klosterbräu. The nightlife of the legendary disco-club “Kanne” was outstanding. Live
perfomances of Josephine Baker, Chris Barber with his Big Band, Harald Juhnke, LaToya Jackson, The
Platters and Udo Jürgens are only a few names of the superstars who visited in an continious stream.
She is a real legend as a host, not only in Tyrol as well far beyond its borders. She is well known as a
charming lady and you always met her with her beloved dress – the tyrolean dirndl. Dresses were her
passion and in the early years she wanted to become a fashion designer or foreign correspondent. Thanks
to a reception in Seefeld she met her husband and made the tourism in seefeld much more popular.

That’s what the Hotel Klosterbräu is celebrating in the summer of 2016, complete with a fantastic gettogether
for friends and guests of the hotel. The glitzy party is planned for 18th-25th September 2016
and we are already taking bookings. After all, we need you to be there to make it a success and so we are
offering special overnight arrangements (€ 100,-- per person in a double room and € 150,-- in a suite).
The event package price of € 1.750,-- per person for the side programme includes all drinks throughout
the stay, excursions, transfers, hut evenings, mountain breakfast, monastery festival, ‘fun-Olympics’, topquality

Clemens Seidenberger (another family member) is well-known among our more sporty guests and is a great
person to lead you through the fabulous culture and nature in the region. Clemens has some interesting
ideas for this summer too – on the one hand, an individual ’personal activity programme’ and on the other,

more to say! Because everything your family has accomplished over the decades and centuries you have been in
the hotel business is just great! The Klosterbräu celebrates this year its 500-year jubilee, to whom I already cordially
congratulate you.
The history of your hotel is characterized by exceptional people and events…
… as Emperor Maximilian I. founded the Monastery in Seefeld … as the Augustinian monks offered board and lodging
for travelers and pilgrims… as the monastery closed its doors and the family Seyrling began to turn it into what it
is today… a jewel in the Tyrolean alps… a classic example for cordiality and service, as it can only be offered by a
family-run business… driven by permanent development but still preserving the 500-year old traditions… a fresh
breeze in old walls… a true refugee for guests and one of the brightest (5-)stars on the touristic sky in Tyrol.
Your professional work is worth my highest appreciation and recognition. In times like ours, standing together as a
family and creating success in your hotel, is in no means a matter of fact and a real masterly performance! And what
a joy and blessing it is that the next generation is secured with your little Luis!
I was lucky to spend many special hours in your hotel, which I always remembered with joy and will hopefully be able
to spend many more of those. Therefore I will gladly participate in all of your festivities, if possible, and wish you all
