Bearing Selection by Bore Size<br />

The Bearing Selection Chart by bore size is an aid to<br />

the design engineer in selecting the best single row<br />

bearing for the application. This chart identifies the minimum<br />

bearing outside diameter <strong>and</strong> minimum bearing<br />

width available in each series. This will aid in selecting<br />

a bearing where space is limited.<br />

The bearing bore is normally selected for an application<br />

according to the required shaft size. After the design<br />

engineer has established the bearing bore size, this<br />

chart will identify all bearing series which include the<br />

required bore size plus information on the axial load<br />

factor <strong>and</strong> dynamic radial rating to assist in making<br />

the final bearing selection. This chart also refers to<br />

the page number where the detailed information about<br />

bearings in each series can be found. <strong>NTN</strong> Sales is<br />
