I am really excited and privileged to play
the final for RCB: AB De Villiers

matches is excited
to play the IPL
final in Bangalore
on Sunday. He says
that he is honoured
and privileged to
play the final for the
Royal Challengers in
their home-stadium.
The stunning
performance of De
Villiers in the last
match again the Lions
in the semifinals
made the Bangalore
team to climb the
stairs and the finals.
It is an unforgettable
score he took in
the semi-final match
under pressure. He
scored 79 against
the Lions.
He expressed his
heart felt feeling
about this final that
final meant much
more for him. He
said, “I have played
very less number of
final matches in my
career. I am really
excited and privileged
to play the final
for RCB. Though
I am playing for RCB
for six years I have
never played a final
but now.”
We could make
wrong many others
saying that we
under performed
during the matches
by reaching the final
in the current year
IPL.

a win, RCB looked

with Dhawal Kulkarni
grabbing four of
them, before de Villiers
smashed 79 not
out off 47 balls to
script a sensational
comeback and take
the team home in
18.2 overs.
Speaking about
the semifinals victory,
De Villiers said
that Kulkarni really
bowled well and lots
of credit must go to
him.
“We always had in
our mind the great
encouraging words
of former teammate
Zaheer Khan that we
are never out of the
funny game. During
this match, they almost
won the game
in power play and
we just kept fighting
without losing our
hope.”
He is very much
proud of his 79 in
the last match and
said this is one of
the best and interesting.
But he is never
concentrates on
his statistics but on
helping the team to
gear up to the final.

AFC Cup Football: Bengaluru FC in Quarter-Finals
Bengaluru FC moved into the quarter-finals
of the 2016 AFC Cup, following
a 3-2 win over Hong Kong club Kitchee SC
on Wednesday at the MongKok Stadium
in Hong Kong. They will be sole Indian
representatives in the competition with
MohunBagan being knocked out of the
tournament, following a 1-2 loss against
Singaporean club Tampines Rovers on
Tuesday.
Bangaluru FC proves itself and moves a
step ahead into the quarter-finals in 2016
AFC cup. Bengaluru trounced Hong kong
club Kitchee SC yesterday at the MongKok
Stadium in Hong Kong. Bengaluru team
knocks the Kong Kong by 3-2.
The Kitchees were leading the game in
the beginning but the outstanding game
of Sunil Chhetri brought Bangaluru in the
lead. The Honk Kong club equalized the
goal in the 42nd minute. It was a pressure
for both the teams to take the one more
goal and to be in the front. But wind was
on the Bangaluru’s team that led Danilel
Lhimpuia to shoot a goal. The Bengaluru
players had to keep up the lead till the
last. This led them to an ultimate win.
Mohun Bagan side slumped to a 1-2 defeat
against Tampines Rovers. Bagan went
below the score on the 62nd minute. But
the team managed to make it equal after
four minutes. This was because of Bikramjit
Singh who shot a goal at the 72nd minute.
During the extra time they scored till
five and kept the mark constant.
This is the third time Indian team entering
the quarter finals after 2008 and
2012 in AFC Cup.
