FRACTURES LEG,
HOSPITALIZED
Tamil superstar Kamal
Haasan has been hospitalised
after he fell in
his office and suffered a
fractured leg.
A close associate of
the actor said that the
61-year-old “Papanasam”
star sustained a
fracture on his right leg
when he slipped and
hurt himself at his office
in Alwarpet on Thursday
morning.
“He has been admitted
to a private hospital
where he is doing well.
He has been advised a
weeks’ rest,” his associate
told the media.
“The actor had no professional
commitments
today,” he added.

he may like to produce it.
“Whenever there is a movie
made on Sania, I think it
will be very inspiring and it
will be fantastic,” Khan told
the media after formally
launching Sania’s autobiography,
titled ‘Ace against Odds’.
“And I don’t know... ask her
if she will let me play her love
interest. But, I will produce it
for sure,” he said in a lighter
vein.
Shah Rukh also expressed
hope that Indian sports films
will soon be able to make a
mark on international platform.
“Somewhere down the
line when sportswomen and
sportsmen films are made we
feel extremely patriotic also
from whichever part of the
world they are made. When

Khan has finally filed his response
with regard to his
much-controversial “raped
woman” analogy before the
Maharashtra State Commission
for Women on Thursday.
“Salman Khan has filed
his response to the notice
issued by Maharashtra State
Commission for Women on
Wednesday” said MSCW
chief Vijaya Rahatkar.
Rahatkar further said the
commission is going through
the contents of his reply, adding
the next course of action
will be decided accordingly.

‘KABALI’ PRODUCER MOVES HC
TO PREVENT ‘DOWNLOADS’
Tamil film producer S Thanu
on Thursday moved the
Madras High Court seeking
to prevent illegal downloads
of superstar Rajnikanth’s upcoming
film ‘Kabali’ through
about 180 websites and
“countless unknown sites”.
The producer of the film,
in his writ petition, sought
a direction to Telecom Regulatory
Authority of India
(TRAI) to issue instructions
to all service providers to
block websites offering illegal
download of the film.
Senior Counsel for the producer
included Tamil Nadu
Anti-Piracy Cell as a respondent
to ensure compliance.
The petitioner enclosed
the screenshot of a site which
claimed that visitors could
access 30 films at the rate of
12,000 downloads.
The counsel said they had
arranged a live demo of another
website to the court, to
show that an entire feature
film could be downloaded for
as little as Rs 10.
From that single copy several
thousand copies could
be made and sold in the black
market, he added.
While the pirates make Rs
20 to 30 a copy, the total loss
is incurred by the producers,
artists and others involved in
the making of a multi-crore
film, he contended.
