APPLYING FOR KEY DOCUMENTS
Passport
To enter Canada and apply for a Canadian study
permit, you will need a valid passport. If you do
not already have a passport, contact your nearest
passport office immediately. You should apply for
one at least six months before you plan to arrive in
Canada. Consider acquiring a passport that is valid
for the entire duration of your studies in Canada.
Valid immigration
For immigration purposes,
‘valid’ means a document
that has not expired. Keep
all of your documents valid
throughout your studies.
Canada, you need to apply for a study permit.
Your study permit will become invalid 90 days
