The forest center is also a venue for the community, allowing daily pedestrian<br />
<strong>and</strong> congregation activities to permeate the site <strong>and</strong> surrounding parks. The<br />
forest center is also host to small-medium enterprises, workshops, <strong>and</strong> training<br />
centers for the district - addressing the livelihood needs of the community.<br />
The three-storey forest center lays low <strong>and</strong> sprawling, blending with respect to<br />
the surrounding fabric of trees <strong>and</strong> low-rise buildings - with urban greening <strong>and</strong><br />
the pedestrian experience in mind. The development is planned to promote<br />
the interconnection of public spaces, parks with the built-up urban fabric of the<br />
city around which daily economic activities take place.<br />
Longitudinal development, with transverse axis at the "gateway". Spaces are<br />
distributed <strong>and</strong> configured to utilize tropical shading principles <strong>and</strong> natural<br />
ventilation from dominant trade winds.<br />
