Sheikh Muhammad Husain of Batala has proclaimed<br />
repeatedly that in order to distinguish between the one<br />
who is truthful and the one who is a liar, he desires a<br />
prayer-duel, for in the faith of Islam this practice is<br />
supported by the Sunnah. However, along with this, he<br />
further proposes: ‘If I am proved to be a liar then<br />
immediate punishment should befall me.’ In response to<br />
this, in my announcement of 21 November 1898, I have<br />
written in detail that in a prayer-duel it is against<br />
