Here are some groups that may have an impact on<br />
your University experience:<br />
Residential Advisory Board<br />
(RAB)<br />
Comprised of students living both on and off campus,<br />
RAB develops and implements social and educational<br />
activities for the campus. They also serve as the<br />
representatives for the residential student population,<br />
and provide opportunities to give feedback on the<br />
residential and dining experience as well as the<br />
overall undergraduate experience.<br />

HDRC Advisory Board<br />
The board consists of a diverse group of residential<br />
students and campus leaders charged with evaluating<br />
the current room selection process, the campus meal<br />
plan program, the renovations and usage of common<br />
areas, and any future items affecting University<br />
Housing, Residential Life, Dining Programs and/or<br />
Conference Services. As members, students are<br />
instrumental in providing a unique perspective to<br />
issues relating to the residential community, while<br />
working closely with other students.<br />

Student Government<br />
Association (SGA)<br />
The Johns Hopkins University Student Government<br />
(SGA) is the governing body for undergraduate<br />
students. The Student Government is responsible for<br />
allocating funds to student organizations, approving<br />
constitutions and passing resolutions for change on<br />
campus. The Student Government sits on a variety of<br />
University-wide committees and supports programs<br />
of the four class councils.<br />

Student Life Programming<br />
Grant<br />
The Student Life Programming Grant exists to<br />
financially support student-organized programs that<br />
promote collaboration, build campus community, or<br />
meet needs in under-addressed programming areas.<br />

Intramural Sports<br />
Comprised of one representative from each house/<br />
floor/wing, the board plans a year-long program of<br />
sports competitions that include teams from the<br />
residence halls and apartments, the fraternities and<br />
sororities, and the undergraduate and graduate<br />
student body.<br />

Hopkins Organization for<br />
Programming (HOP)<br />
The HOP is the student-run programming board for<br />
the Homewood Campus. They plan comedy shows,<br />
concerts, hypnotists, First Sunday Sundaes and more.<br />
The majority of HOP events are free of charge.<br />

Fraternity and Sorority<br />
Life<br />
The Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life, in<br />
coordination with local alumni advisors and<br />
international and national headquarters, supports<br />
and advises activities and programs of recognized<br />
fraternities and sororities. First established in 1877, the<br />
fraternity and sorority community at Johns Hopkins<br />
is comprised of over 1,000 students. Chapters host<br />
social events, educational programs, and community<br />
service and philanthropy projects for their members<br />
and the Johns Hopkins community. Fraternity and<br />
sorority chapters at Johns Hopkins represent a wealth<br />
of leadership, diversity, talents, athleticism, and<br />
academic achievement.<br />
