• Rake your leaves loose to the curb line.
• Leaves shall be free of any sticks, rocks, stones,
trash, brush and other debris that could damage
or clog the Leaf Vacuuming machines.
• Keep leaves at least 10 feet away from storm
drains.
• Inclement weather does affect leaf collection.
• Glassboro is not responsible for damage to
obstructions in the street.
Leaves may be placed in biodegradable paper
bags or yard debris containers. Biodegradable
bags on sale at Borough Hall. $2 for 5 bags.
GLASSBORO’S OPEN SHRED DAY
EVENT
November 5, 9am-12pm in East New Street Park
Bring your unlimited (until truck is full) bags and/or
boxes of paper to be shredded in a highly secure,
Mobile shredding unit where your confidential
material will be destroyed before your eyes.
SNOW REMOVAL
To assist the Highway Department with snow removal
from all municipal dedicated streets, roadways, and culde-sacs,
all parked cars and obstructions shall be
removed from the street for up to 12 hours during and
after a storm.
• When shoveling out of a driveway, snow should be
placed to the right side (if looking at the street from
house) of your driveway.
• If using a snow blower, do not blow snow back out
into the street as hazardous conditions can arise.
• Primary streets plowed first, followed by the
secondary streets and cul-de-sacs last due to time
involved and use of other equipment.
• Plows get as close to the curb as possible.
• Please clear the area around your mailbox as the
Mail carriers will not deliver the mail if they can not
reach your mailbox. Residents and Businesses with
corner properties are required to clear the ADA
accessibility ramps.
• Glassboro is not responsible for damage to
obstructions in the street.
• Property owners abutting public highways, roads,
and/or streets of Glassboro are required to remove
any snow and ice up from the sidewalks in front of
their property.
Less than 4” of snow: 48 hours of any snowfall
4-10” of snow: within 72 hours
10” + of snow: within 120 hours
If your property is a bus stop or a direct means to
and from bus stops or schools, please clear the
sidewalks as soon as possible. The cleared pathway
should be no less than 36 inches in width.
