Deiah Riley<br />
Anchor, ABC Action News<br />
Deiah Riley is an award- winning journalist, who has been waking up the Tampa Bay area since 2003.<br />
Riley has a passion for sharing people’s stories, bringing compelling news to her viewers and doing<br />
it all with honesty and integrity. She’s a member of the award-winning ABC Action News “Taking<br />
Action Against Domestic Violence” campaign. The goal of this campaign is to raise awareness of<br />
domestic violence, provide resources for victims and families and share the inspirational stories<br />
of survivors, breaking their silence to stop the cycle of abuse. Riley has covered many of the<br />
biggest news events in the bay area, including the emotional Terri Schiavo “Right to Die” case, the<br />
abduction of Carlie Brucia, the infamous Wesley Chapel movie theater shooting, the Super Bowl<br />
and numerous major weather events. Before coming to Tampa, Riley was an anchor in Atlanta,<br />
where her 5-part series on “HIV, AIDS and Women” was the basis for a town hall meeting. She also<br />
anchored newscasts in Phoenix, Mobile and Montgomery, Alabama. Riley is an active member of<br />
the community, and her church. She and her husband David have two daughters: 9-year old Riley<br />
and 8-year old Ryan. In her spare time, she operates a “locker room on wheels,” hauling her girls to<br />
volleyball, track, soccer, piano & guitar.<br />
Kathleen Shanahan<br />
Chairman, Ground Works Solution<br />
Kathleen M. Shanahan is currently chairman of Ground Works Solution, formerly URETEK<br />
Holdings, Inc. She served as CEO and chairman of URETEK Holdings, Inc. since 2011 and grew the<br />
business significantly in revenue and geographic coverage. URETEK Holdings was a Florida based<br />
company focused on soil stabilization and densification for infrastructure rehabilitation. URETEK<br />
provided fast, minimally-disruptive, cost-effective repair solutions through the use of a patented<br />
polymer based application process. Shanahan has a distinguished background in business, politics<br />
and public service. Previously, Kathleen was chairman and CEO of WRScompass, a civil and<br />
environmental construction company, from July 2005 thru July 2011. WRScompass experienced<br />
significant growth under Kathleen’s leadership. Prior to her executive management posts, Kathleen<br />
was a senior consultant to former New York Stock Exchange CEO John Thain, and a senior<br />
executive in charge of public and community affairs at PaineWebber. Additionally, she has held<br />
federal and state public policy positions of chief of staff for Florida Governor Jeb Bush, chief of<br />
staff to Vice President-elect Dick Cheney, deputy secretary of the California Trade and Commerce<br />
Agency, special assistant to Vice President George Bush, and staff assistant on President Reagan’s<br />
National Security Council. Shanahan currently serves as an executive board member of the Florida<br />
Council of 100, and as a pro bono advisor to the Florida Coalition Against Domestic Violence. She<br />
is also a board member of BioIQ, GSL Solutions and The Digital Bell, Hillsborough Area Regional<br />
Transit Authority, TRC (NYSE: TRR), Woofgang Solutions , as a board member and executive<br />
vice president of National Account for Turtle & Hughes, and is a member of Women Corporate<br />
Directors and the International Women’s Forum.<br />
