We then arrive at tonight‘s hostel in St. Xulian … There was something ―dead‖ in the vibe here. The hostel itself was extremely posh and the food was extremely high quality (both represented in its cost, which was quite exorbitant), and yet there was a stark disconnect between the proprietor and the pilgrims. Of course, an integral part of any such perception is projection, so I was left to wonder what it was in my own life that was inspiring a similar annoyance … Uncomfortable clarity is clarity nonetheless.
