Scholarships: Prospectus KMU Institute of Medical Sciences 2012-13 Financial Assistance Scholarships, Financial Assistance and Awards for MBBS/BDS students The Administration of Khyber Medical University Peshawar has been making every possible effort to help solve the monetary problems of its students by tapping the potential resources and providing various scholarships and concessions to the deserving students both on merit as well as poverty basis. The following Categories of scholarship are made available. From KMU: i. Brother / Sister concession (every Semester) ii. Merit Scholarship for distinction (every year) Gold Medals for MBBS/BDS students ii. i. One Gold medal is awarded to the Best Graduate of the Year. Best graduate of the year is one who stands first in the aggregate of all the professional MBBS/BDS examinations marks, in his / her first attempt. One Gold Medal is awarded for standing first in each professional MBBS/BDS examination in first attempt. 41
Extra Curricular Activities The students are encouraged to take active part in the extracurricular activities to ensure _Healthy Body, Healthy Mind’’.
