STRENGTH & CONDITIONING<br />

The main Arkansas State University strength and conditioning area features 70 work stations,<br />

flooring, flexibility area, power area, speed area, cardiovascular area, training equipment, Olympic<br />

weightlifting platforms, air and heating system and training security measures.<br />

The Convocation Center also includes the state-of-the-art Strength and Conditioning Room used<br />

by the A-State men’s basketball team, which was remodeled prior to the 2008-09 season. The upgrades<br />

included all new weights, new floor covering, wall covering, lighting and entrance doors.<br />

The project was completed at a cost of approximately $150,000 with a large portion of the funding<br />

coming from a generous contribution from the Clopton Clinic of Jonesboro.<br />

ATHLETIC TRAINING<br />

The A-State Sports Medicine Department operates five athletic training rooms on campus. The<br />

Convocation Center is the home for all men’s and women’s basketball, women’s volleyball, and indoor<br />

track competitions and practices.<br />

Located in the Convocation Center is a 2,000-square foot athletic training room which is fully<br />

equipped to provide all the necessary pre and post-practice treatment. The Tim and Terri Langford<br />

Sports Medicine area has undergone recent changes and construction such as new tables, flooring,<br />

ceiling, paint and offices.<br />
