WELCOME
A hotel with soul…
Where did 2016 go? It has certainly been an eventful
year! From recently refurbished bedrooms and our
extended food offering, to the new Gunwales room
in the Working Boat pub, we’ve been continually
enhancing our 400 year old hotel.
And we promise that winter is the perfect time to join
us, when you’ll almost have Cornwall to yourself.
Expect footprint free beaches, blazing sunsets, and
the warmest of welcomes at The Greenbank.
We sincerely hope to welcome you soon.
FLY SOUTH THIS WINTER...
To balmy Falmouth and beyond
It’s a well-known fact that Cornwall remains mild in winter, thanks to our unique
micro-climate. If you’re heading south at this time of year, you can expect empty
coast paths, vibrant attractions and lush gardens.
So pack your camera, pull on your walking boots, and embrace that crisp fresh
air. The coastal paradises of Trebah and Glendurgan are just a short drive away
– and both have their very own secluded beach on the Helford River.
Or head to Pendennis Castle, lose yourself in The Lost Gardens of Heligan,
and discover the world’s largest greenhouses at The Eden Project.
Picnic hampers full of Cornish goodies are available from reception to feed
your appetite, from just £20 for two people.
We can organise discounted garden and attraction tickets for you – just ask
when you check-in or by calling 01326 312440.
4.

SECRET SAVER
Fancy waking to a winter vista of
gentle waves, bobbing boats and
rolling hills? You’ll find it hard to say
no to our Sea View Saver. Join us
this season and save 20% when
you stay in a harbour view room,
available until 31st March 2017.
Valid on new bookings only, not to be used with
any other offer and subject to availability. Excludes
Christmas, New Year and Valentine’s Day.
5.

NEW THIS SEASON
Why winter is our favourite
The award-winning Water’s Edge
restaurant unveils plenty of tempting
treats this season.
Dive into our new brunch menu, join
us for a warming cocktail or two, or opt
for our festive afternoon tea.
Featuring traditional sandwiches
alongside mulled wine, cranberry
scones, mince pies, yule log,
Christmas pudding truffles and plenty
more – it’s the ultimate indulgence.
And once again, our festive lunches
will be served every day in December
(just £21 for three courses.)
We’ve also expanded our Cornish bar
selection - from Curio gin and Aval Dor
vodka, to Dead Man’s Fingers rum!
Find all of our menus online or call
01326 312440 to book your table.
On the rocks:
Join us every Friday evening and enjoy two cocktails for £10
6.

MOUTH WATERING. BELLY FILLING. HEART WARMING.
Say hello to our new menus
The colder days bring out the slow cooker and the kitchen crew are putting it
to good use. Flavour is always the key word at the Water’s Edge, but this
season allows us to cook for longer, using produce that need time to
marinade, smoke and simmer overnight.
Our new menus bring all this to the fore – think whiskey smoked game, winter
beets, Falmouth oysters, cottage pie, slow roasted duck and more. We hope
you’ll enjoy the comfort of the dishes as much as we enjoy cooking them.
Pre-book a three course dinner when you stay for just £25 per person
(giving you £35 credit towards the menu). Or push the boat out with lunch
– just £16 for two courses or £20 for three, every day of the week.
7.

NOURISH YOUR SKIN AND NURTURE YOUR SOUL
You couldn’t be in better hands
In the soothing world of our spa treatment room, kick back and unwind with
a vast choice of luxury therapies. Find our full spa menu online, including hot
stone massages, facials, perfect pedicures and beauty treatments.
Featured treatment: Savour some me time with our Come in from the cold
remedy for just £45. This relaxing treat includes an hour’s back and shoulder
massage plus a facial to sooth tired winter skin. Call 01326 312440 to book.
8.

LAZY DAYS
Whilst there’s so much to discover on
our doorstep, winter days are sometimes
best spent inside The Greenbank itself.
Whether it’s a frothy coffee in the bar, a
soothing spa treatment or long soak in
your bath tub – there’s every excuse to
retreat in our coastal hideaway. And if
you fancy a late checkout, be our guest.
DON’T JUST TAKE OUR WORD FOR IT...
“All the staff we met could not have been more positive, efficient or helpful. We got the impression th
work and felt justly proud of The Greenbank. The town is a short walk away, but frankly, with stun
from the hotel you don’t need to stray too far.” - TripAdvisor review, September 2016
“In many rooms a single papered wall adds a spike of hip originality. The best rooms have balconies, b
windows overlooking the harbour are almost as good. Hours can be spent watching life on the river pa
sailed oyster dredgers, sailing craft and jauntily painted passenger ferries.” - Telegraph review, O
“Set right on the banks of the river Fal, with sweeping views across the estuary through its floor-ce
the ideal place to enjoy the drama of Poldarkian winter storms without getting wet or cold, preferabl
of Cornish -made Dead Man’s Fingers rum.” - Evening Standard, October 2016
“Some friends recommended The Greenbank and I’m so glad I took their advice. I loved the big bay w
I almost didn’t want to leave.” - TripAdvisor review, October 2016
