WELCOME
The weather may be cooling down in
Cornwall, but we certainly aren’t preparing
for hibernation. As the summer holiday
crowds dissipate, the county adopts a whole
new atmosphere. The autumn months are
prime time for embracing the crisp climate,
by wrapping up warm and venturing to the
many scenic spots located within our idyllic
corner of the map. Discover blissful tranquillity
in some of Cornwall’s hidden gems, and
immerse yourself in the buzz of events
over the festive period that attract the local
community and visitors alike.
Perched by the water, The Greenbank is
embedded in the core of Falmouth’s long,
sea-faring history. We may be the oldest in
town, but behind these historic walls lies a
hotel with heart, harbour views, and a whole
host of exciting events. Visit us this season for
an unforgettable stay, and make our coastal
haven your home away from home.
Home
IS
WHERE THE HEART IS
Falmouth has it all. Beautiful beaches, a
vibrant town peppered with charming
cafes, award-winning restaurants and
boutique shops, historical landmarks and
outstanding gardens.
Featured in The Sunday Times – Best Places to
Live in the UK 2019 list, Falmouth is described
as Britain’s answer to “the California/Barcelona
city-by-the-sea lifestyle.” These are our
personal recommendations to tick off your
travel list during your trip to Falifornia…
SWANPOOL TO MAENPORTH WALK
A coastal walk is a must when in Cornwall,
and Falmouth has plenty. Our favourite is the
popular route from Swanpool to Maenporth.
Take in the sweeping coastline and sea views
as you make your way from beach to beach.
Reward your efforts with a warming hot
chocolate, or if you’re embracing the cooler
weather – brave a refreshing dip in the sea.
NATIONAL MARITIME MUSEUM
Discover the sea-faring history that shapes
Cornwall’s very identity. Located appropriately
beside the marina on Falmouth’s Events
Square, visit the museum for all things sea,
sails and ships.

PENDENNIS CASTLE
Travel back to Tudor times at the
magnificent Pendennis Castle. Its dramatic
stance on Falmouth’s headland means it
can be spotted from various vantage points.
The perfect day out for those intrigued by
its fascinating history as one of Henry VII’s
coastal fortresses.
GLENDURGAN GARDEN
Visit Glendurgan for the wild and exotic
display that nature has to offer. Full of plant
life and bright blooms, this gorgeous garden
is set in a Cornish valley. Get lost in the
adventure maze, take a trip to the tea house
surrounded by greenery, and ramble down
to the idyllic village of Durgan, where grass
meets the shore on the secluded beach.
GYLLY ADVENTURES
For the watersport lover, Falmouth is the
ideal destination to make a splash. Gylly
Adventures offer a whole host of water-based
activities that depart from The Greenbank’s
private pontoons. Choose from kayaking,
paddle boarding and coasteering, and get
your wetsuit at the ready!
