Bracing jaunt or lazy lie-in? After a hearty<br />

breakfast, we thoroughly recommend<br />

wandering into town to w<strong>at</strong>ch the Cornish<br />

<strong>Christmas</strong> Harmony Choir’s 1<strong>20</strong>th annual<br />

performance from 10.30am. And if you’re still<br />

on the hunt for presents, Falmouth is perfect<br />

for completing any last minute shopping.<br />

22nd or 23rd December<br />

Depending on the length of your <strong>Christmas</strong> On the evening of 23rd December, we’ll<br />

break, you’ll either arrive on 22nd or 23rd be providing complimentary canapes and<br />

December. Welcome aboard! As a festive as always our traditional brass band will<br />

tre<strong>at</strong> after you’ve checked in, we’ll be commence the revelries in the W<strong>at</strong>er’s Edge<br />

warming up the mulled wine and serving bar (song sheets provided for all).<br />

At 3pm, get into the <strong>Christmas</strong> spirit with<br />

a good old fashioned sing-a-long with local<br />

choir group <strong>The</strong> Angels. This yearly tradition<br />

in <strong>The</strong> Working Bo<strong>at</strong> is one not to miss!<br />

Upstairs in the W<strong>at</strong>er’s Edge bar, our drinks<br />

specialist Yohann will demonstr<strong>at</strong>e how<br />

to cre<strong>at</strong>e the ultim<strong>at</strong>e cocktail. Sink a few<br />

tipples before dinner is served in<br />

the restaurant.<br />

Our Executive Chef Nick, Head Chef Bobby<br />

and their kitchen team proudly fly the<br />

Cornish flag, with their collective hard work<br />

making everything th<strong>at</strong> leaves our kitchen<br />

the very best. Expect festive favourites with<br />

imagin<strong>at</strong>ive twists, all lovingly cre<strong>at</strong>ed using<br />

the freshest local ingredients.<br />

On 22nd December from 8pm, we’ll be<br />

hosting our special festive pub quiz in <strong>The</strong><br />

Working Bo<strong>at</strong>. Will you be crowned our<br />

winning team?


ALL IS CALM, ALL IS<br />

Boxing Day<br />

Wake l<strong>at</strong>e, take your time <strong>at</strong> breakfast,<br />

then jump aboard our coach journey to<br />

<strong>The</strong> Alverton – our sister hotel in Truro.<br />

Here, the skilled chefs will prepare a Cornish<br />

buffet lunch before Near-ta <strong>The</strong><strong>at</strong>re’s cult<br />

festive comedy.<br />

“<strong>Christmas</strong>. Time.” will be performed in the<br />

stunning Gre<strong>at</strong> Hall for our guests. Back for<br />

its eleventh consecutive year, join prison<br />

inm<strong>at</strong>es Charlie and Toby on a fantastical<br />

adventure full of songs, snowmen and lots<br />

of laughs.<br />

After diving into breakfast one last time, it’s<br />

time to check out and head home, with our<br />

warmest wishes for <strong>20</strong><strong>20</strong>.<br />

<strong>Christmas</strong> Day<br />

Today is all about indulgence. Find your<br />

stocking hung from your bedroom door, then<br />

spend a mellow morning as you please after<br />

a leisurely breakfast paired with buck’s fizz.<br />

Early riser? Don’t miss the yearly <strong>Christmas</strong><br />

Day swim <strong>at</strong> Gyllyngvase beach, from 10am.<br />

It’s quite the spectacle – even if you don’t<br />

fancy braving it yourself!<br />

Back <strong>at</strong> <strong>The</strong> <strong>Greenbank</strong>, kick back <strong>at</strong> dinner<br />

and find a selection of games in our bar.<br />

<strong>The</strong> Working Bo<strong>at</strong><br />

This chilly month was made for evenings in<br />

the pub. <strong>The</strong> Working Bo<strong>at</strong> is a proper tavern<br />

on the w<strong>at</strong>erfront where you can sink a few<br />

on Cornish time. Est. 1876, rebuilt <strong>20</strong>15, and<br />

open daily from 10am-close.<br />

team are on hand to relax and restore your<br />
