Famous Food of the world<br />

Nepal<br />

Equally popular among Nepali people and<br />

foreign tourists, Gundrook-Dheedo is a sugarfree<br />

dish made of wheat, maize and dried green<br />

vegetable . The food is high on nutrition level<br />

and satisfies the taste buds as well . The food<br />

of Nepal is as diverse as the country itself . The<br />

Nepalese recipes are quick to cook and good to<br />

eat . Nepalese food is famous for its nutrition<br />

level and tempting taste . Whilst Nepalese<br />

cuisine is somewhat basic, it certainly does not<br />

lack in flavor, making extensive use of spices<br />

and flavorings such as ginger, garlic, coriander,<br />

pepper, cumin, chilies, cilantro, mustard oil,<br />

ghee and occasionally yak butter . Come let<br />

us savor some of the famous dishes of Nepal .<br />

Regarded as Newari pizza, Chatamari is flat<br />

bread made from rice flour with or without<br />

toppings (meat, vegetables, eggs, sugar) . It is<br />

highly savored by the tourists who consider it<br />

as a good and healthy substitute to pizza<br />

This honey coated meat is sweet, tender<br />

and it goes well with everything <strong>–</strong> rice,<br />

noodles or even by itself . Ask for the half fat,<br />

The dictionary will also tell you that the noun<br />

"barbecue" has at least four meanings:<br />

1 . a frame work to hold meat over a fire for<br />

cooking<br />

2 . any meat broiled or roasted on such a<br />

framework<br />

Indeed, barbecues have long been a popular<br />

social occasion in the South . But, done in the<br />

traditional way, the making of barbecue was<br />

hard work . A pit was dug in the ground the day<br />

before the gathering and filled with hardwood .<br />

The wood was burned down to coals before<br />

whole hogs, skewered on poles, were hung<br />

over the pit . The pit masters sat up through<br />

the night, turning the hogs on their spits . The<br />

following afternoon when the guests arrived,<br />

the crisp skin - Mr . Brown - was removed and<br />

the cooked meat - the divine Miss White - was<br />

pulled in lumps from the carcass before being<br />

slathered with a favorite finishing sauce . That's<br />

why, to this very day; a social affair centered<br />

around pork barbecue is affectionately called<br />

a Pig Pickin .<br />

Spain<br />

This vegetarian option is enjoyed by all, as a<br />

tapa, starter, a side dish to meats, or even with<br />

a fried egg on top . It's a Spanish ratatouille of<br />

tomatoes, peppers, zucchini, onions, garlic, and<br />

of course, olive oil . The palatable competition<br />

of intense roasted flavors makes this a tasty<br />

recipe .
