The yarn amounts are based on average requirements when specified tension and yarn is used.
You will also need 1 Pair of 5½mm (UK5 – USA9) Knitting Needles for Bootees, Bow Shoes and Shoes with Strap. 1 Pair of 4½mm (UK7 – USA7) Knitting Needles.
2 Buttons for Shoes with Strap.
TENSION
14 sts and 19 rows to 10cm, (4in) over stocking stitch on 5½mm needles or the size required to give correct tension.
17 sts and 27 rows to 10cm, (4in) over garter stitch on 4½mm needles or the size required to give correct tension.
Check your tension - if less stitches use a thinner needle, if more use a thicker needle.
IT IS ESSENTIAL TO WORK TO THE STATED TENSION TO ENSURE SUCCESS.

Work 7 rows in g-st.
Cast off knitways.
TO MAKE UP
Join heel seam. With seam to
centre back of sole, sew shoe
evenly all round sole allowing for
gathering at front of shoe. Gather
main piece of bow at centre and
fasten. Join cast on and cast off
edges of bow centre to make a
ring and thread main piece
through. Attach bow to front of
shoe. See ball band for washing
and further care instructions.
SHOES WITH STRAP
(Both alike)
Using 5½mm needles and thumb
method cast on 9 [10:12] sts
loosely.
1st Row. Knit.
2nd Row. Inc in 1st st, p6 [7:9],
inc in next st, p1. 11 [12:14] sts.
3rd Row. Inc in 1st st, k8 [9:11],
