Montessori in everyday practice<br />
This session simplifies the Montessori philosophy and demonstrates how the 12 principles can be applied to<br />
everyday living.<br />
You will explore the principles and how they can be used to create an environment that supports independence,<br />
and promotes engagement and a sense of purpose for people living with dementia.<br />
In this session you will:<br />
• develop an understanding of Montessori and how this applies to a person living with dementia<br />
• explore the benefits of a Montessori approach across a broad range of support settings<br />
• develop an understanding of cognitive ramps<br />
• explore ways of developing cognitive ramps in your own dementia support setting<br />
• see the 12 Montessori principles demonstrated in action<br />
