OLIVER SWEENEY AND JAGUAR PARTNER UP TO DESIGN A NEW FORMAL SHOE.<br />

J-MAGAZINE INVESTIGATES TO KEEP YOU ONE STEP AHEAD…<br />

Using <strong>Jaguar</strong>’s long-established<br />

design clay model sculpture<br />

process, <strong>Jaguar</strong> director of<br />

advanced design Julian Thomson and<br />

Oliver Sweeney cobbler-in-chief Tim<br />

Cooper have collaborated to create an<br />

F-TYPE-inspired shoe.<br />

“Once the clay has been applied, it can<br />

be changed quickly, efficiently and<br />

easily to the designer’s requirements,”<br />

confirms Cooper, Oliver Sweeney’s<br />

cobbler-in-chief. “This enables the<br />

designer to put as much input as he can<br />

into the design.”<br />

“We felt we could very much lend this<br />

process to developing the shoe for<br />

Oliver Sweeney,” continued <strong>Jaguar</strong>’s<br />

Thomson. “The sculptural qualities,<br />

the proportions, the delicacy of line are<br />

all common attributes and characteristics<br />

we see in both the <strong>Jaguar</strong> brand<br />

and the Oliver Sweeney shoe.”<br />

Either way, we certainly aren’t ones to<br />

argue, when the Italian-made formal<br />

shoes end up looking as good as this.<br />

Set to go on sale September 2015 and<br />

available in black and brown<br />
