CHIP DESIGNING
A five day faculty development program on “Structural & Foundation Analysis” was organized
by the Department of Civil Engineering of Sri Vishnu Engineering College for Women from 25th
July ,2016 to 29th July,2016 , resource person was Mr.Satadru Chowdary from Skyfilabs,
Bengaluru and was coordinated by Mr.P.Janaki Rama Raju, Associate Professor .

A five day workshop on “Analog Integrated Circuit Design and ASIC Implementation using
Cadence EDA Tools” was organised by the Department of Electronics and Communication
Engineering under the guidance of Dr. G.R.L.V.N. Srinivasa Raju from 6th June 2016 to 10th June
2016 under TEQIP-II for in-house faculty and also for the faculty of other Engineering Colleges.
The objective of the program was to impart both theoretical and practical knowledge.
SPEECH RECOGNITION
A three Day Workshop on “Speech Recognition” was organized by the Department of
Electronics and Communication Engineering from 21 to 23 July 2016 Under TEQIP -II. Vice
Principal Dr.P.Srinivasa Raju, along with coordinators Dr.K.Pushpa and Mr.M.V.Ganeswara Rao
and Resource person Dr.V.Anil Kumar from IIIT Hyderabad and Mr.A.K.N.R.K.Raju were
present.
Department of Mechanical Engineering conducted a workshop on “the latest developments in
the areas of thermal Engineering with special impetus on CFD, Heat Transfer & Gas Turbines”.
The objective of the workshop was to create awareness among young Mechanical Engineers
about the current advances of research and importance of the knowledge of solving real life and
industrial problems in the process of achieving the individual, collective and societal goals with
sustainable technology, processes and products. Resource Persons were Prof. B.V.S.S.S. Prasad
from IIT Madras, Sri.V.F. Saji, Scientist D, NSTL and Dr.K.N Malleswara Rao from VRSEC.

SURVEYING
The Department of Civil Engineering conducted a student workshop on “Total station surveying”
from 11th - 14 July 2016. The Resource persons were Mr.P.Prasanareeraju, Mr.V.Nagagopi,
Mr.Macherla Sridhar, Mr. S.Ashok Kumar, Mr. Yalla Raju and Mr.Ketha Anjaneya Swamy from
Nishita Technologies, Vijayawada and was coordinated by Mr.B.Venkatesh, Assistant professor.
The objective of this workshop was to give hands-on practice for II & III year B.Tech Civil students

Research Award Grant from Science and Engineering
Research Board, DST for the project titled “Photovoltaic
based Pumping system using multi-level inverter”.
Dr.P.V.V.Rama Rao, HoD, EEE Dept was on the panel of
judges for “RCE TECH FEST-2016” organized by
Ramachandra College of Engineering, Eluru.
