Richard is an experienced humanitarian
aid worker with degrees in criminology/sociology
and extensive involvement
in relief programs, non-profit
and fundraising. He has a keen interest
in working with organizations looking to
defend human rights around the world,
while advocating on the front lines to alleviate
the pain and suffering of children
in all corners of the globe.
Fluent in three languages (English,
French, Haitian Creole + basic Spanish),
His interest in humanitarian aid/disaster
relief started in the aftermath of Hurricane
Katrina in the Gulf Coast where he
volunteered in New-Orleans to help the
people rebuild their lives in sustainable
ways through both short-term and longterm
projects. He joined the UNICEF Tap
Project, advocating and fundraising to
improve access to safe water, provide
sanitation facilities in schools and communities
and to promote safe hygiene
practices combating deadly illnesses
In addition to his human rights work,
most specifically in pro-Bono/asylum
work, antisemitism and anti-trafficking,
his extensive travel around the world,has
equipped him with the all the tools necessary
to organize epic trips to Haiti,
Cuba and other destinations while also
having the chance to give back to these
communities. He’s currently working on
launching a website (www.haitiannomad.
com) which will hopefully be seen as a
rite of passage for anyone hoping to discover
the true Haiti through the eyes of
a local.
