The Parker Inn Schenectady, NY boutique hotel in the electric city Project Details Renovation of this turn-of-the century eight story office building located in historic Schenectady, New York into a 23 room boutique hotel, conference center, upscale lounge and bar. The existing building dating back to 1908 boasted several unique design features, including a nearly intact cast iron and brick facade, an original wrought iron elevator enclosure, a cast and wrought iron stair, and a decorative plaster ceiling discovered during the construction. All of the building’s historic elements were restored during the project renovations. Michael Goard was the Project Director for this project in association with Synthesis Architects located in Schenectady, New York.
