Performing Arts<br />
Following the great success of our Year 7 introduction<br />
performance, which saw a staggering 80 percent of the cohort<br />
participate in a ‘War’ themed show, we are now preparing for<br />
our whole academy musical. With many dancers, musicians<br />
and actors filling our rehearsal spaces each night, we expect<br />
our performance of the West End hit ‘<br />
Back To The 80s’ to be of the highest quality. Set in a 1980’s<br />
American High School we see our characters play out their<br />
final year, and to a backdrop of many of the iconic hit songs of<br />
that period, we witness love blossoming and hearts breaking.<br />
I am sure that anyone who attends one of the three public<br />
evening performances, or comes along to our primary school<br />
matinee show, will leave with a smile on their face and a cheesy song floating around<br />
in their heads.<br />

Street Dance<br />
Over the recent weeks we have had a professional street dancer running some<br />
wonderfully vibrant after-school sessions on a Friday with our students. With a steady<br />
growth in the numbers of pupils from all years attending, our dancer Taiwo is having<br />
great fun teaching a variety of street dance styles. This extra curricular session is open<br />
to all years and those interested in joining in should simply come along to the Dance<br />
studio on a Friday evening after school.
