We have an amazing team of tutors in Carnarvon who support and encourage our students on a daily basis so I’m sure our students will join Mr Cook, Miss Messent and I in thanking you all for the great job you do, day in day out. Final word from Ellie, our House Captain As House Captain of Carnarvon my key aims are to get younger students and year 11s to interact more by supporting students as they transition to secondary school and supporting all students with their work. This is so important as it makes them feel more comfortable here and makes the atmosphere more friendly around school. I am committed to Carnarvon House and have done lots of inter-house because I want to support my House to win the <strong>Carlton</strong> Cup! Doing this makes us feel proud of our House and getting more people involved will help us improve together. I am really looking forward to improving my leadership and organisation skills by helping organise events for Carnarvon, being a good role model and representing Carnarvon at our achievement events with our parents.
Grove House Autumn Review The start of the new school year for Grove has been a busy one. The introduction of the new pledge system has been welcomed with enthusiasm and already, a large number of students have fulfilled a number of pledges and are well on their way to having more completed before Christmas. With the help and guidance of the older students, the new Year 7’s have settled in quickly and are demonstrating positive attitudes towards their learning and towards Grove House life. A combination of achievement points, good behaviour and high levels of participation in Grove House events will keep us on track to retain The <strong>Carlton</strong> Cup at the end of the year – let’s keep up the good start, Grove!
