they also will be serving up beer cocktails and specialty
boilermakers.
Draughtsman offers an elevated menu of modern comfort and
pub classics like the Pilsner Tomato Bisque, Short Rib Poutine,
Beer Battered Fish n’ Chips and Chicken Pot Pie. And, of course,
they offer an all-star lineup of burgers, including the Draughtsman
Burger topped with pepper bacon and mescal ketchup. On the
lighter side, they also offer healthier fare like vegan red lentil penne,
buckwheat and beet salad, and strawberry balsamic salmon. Start
your meal by exploring our collection of seasonal and local craft
beers or trying one of our classic cocktails.
Draughtsman is also a great place to catch games from all the major
sports leagues and beyond. They will have DirecTV Sunday Ticket
playing all the NFL games this season! Guests can also hang out
on the expansive patio where they have a great lineup of fun games
like cornhole, hook & ring, Connect Four, and foosball — not to
mention an incredible view of the San Jacinto Mountains.

With the success of the Arrive under his belt, Chris Pardo - the man
who is re-imagining Palm Springs and his group - the same people
who have also designed other “lively” venues locally, have decided
to expand their continued success of our glorious city and come up
with a gem that is sure to attract the weekenders in droves.
Enter The Draughtsman, a Gastro style bar with an edge, now
officially opened in an upscale neighborhood on the North side of
the city, bringing the word trendy to the front of my thoughts. Not
to mention the best popcorn chicken ever. Just ask KESQ’s Bianca
Rae. Bianca was my date for the night, but every time I turn around
to chat to somebody or to introduce her the fabulous attendees,
Bianca was off chasing the popcorn chicken!
So what’s the deal with their name?

Chris Pardo explains: “Draughtsman is an architect, a person who
practices or is qualified in mechanical drawing, employed to prepare
detailed scale drawings of buildings, machinery, etc.” Ooh-la-la…
The description seems rather appropriate, considering the space is
designed by Pardo, who’s modernist designs are Reaching Across
the Coachella Valley And Beyond.
The restaurant that has a delectable craft beer and wine list held
its official ribbon-cutting earlier this month, an event that attracted
hundreds to this fantastically renovated former Pizza Hut.
Draughtsman sits just next door to the already popular 66-room
boutique hotel, Arrive, and the umbrella of businesses to open on
that block. Also on the scene is Reservoir, the restaurant, connected
to the hotel and Customs Coffee.
Draughtsman - a renderer of fine foods and craft beers, has a warm,
inviting ambience that serves innovative creations on pub fare
cuisine with a twist.
