HIGHLAND PHASE I 6101 Airport Blvd. Austin, Texas 78752 YEAR OPENED: 2014 ENROLLMENT CAPACITY: 5,000 FACILITIES: One building (214,000 square feet of developed space) on 76.559 acres with 934 parking spaces. PROGRAMS AND FEATURES: Highland Phase I includes space for academic transfer and career programs and houses the ACCelerator, Veterans Resource Center, and the Bioscience Incubator. The campus also houses Early College High School classes, the Career ACCelerator, and an Information Technology Career Academy for high school students. Highland Campus earned LEED Gold certification in 2015. (See campus expansion plans on pages 36 and 55.) CAMPUS MANAGER: Linda Morrison RIO GRANDE 1212 Rio Grande Austin, Texas 78701 YEAR OPENED: 1975 ENROLLMENT CAPACITY: 9,000 FACILITIES: Four buildings (222,813 square feet) on 5.4 acres with 674 parking spaces. PROGRAMS AND FEATURES: A former public high school dating to the early 1900s, the Rio Grande Campus main building holds historical significance for Austin. Campus programs include American Sign Language-Interpreter Training, Social Work, Therapeutic Recreation, and Humanities, and hosts numerous dance, theater, and literary productions. The campus also houses the Center for Peace and Conflict Studies and is home to the ACC-University of Texas at Austin co-enrollment program. PROGRAMS AND FEATURES: The campus offers a variety of academic and career programs and is home to the ACC-Texas State University co-enrollment program. Future development includes a firstresponder training center. The campus earned LEED Silver certification. (See campus expansion plans on page 55.)
