9. Pick a batch of wild strawberries,
blueberries, raspberries or
pincherries
10. Go four wheeling or snowmobiling
down one of the many back roads
or trails
11. Go camping and eat s’mores!

14. Rent a paddleboard and view Howey
Bay from the water

16. Learn about Fairwind’s Drum at the
Heritage Centre

Hockey The new 2016-17 edition of the
English River Miners are coming to you from BC,
Alberta, Ontario, and Yukon with a vibrant team
that has already made the CJHL Top 20 Teams in
Canada list this season. The very hard work of this
new group of players have been a great example
for our youth in the community and represent
the HIC (Humility, Integrity, Courage) team motto
both on and off the ice. The Miners provide high
quality sports entertainment; with a never give up
attitude. Please come down to the Cochenoeur
arena and support these fine young men who
represent the Red Lake community and area with
class and dignity. For more detailed information

VIKING
OUTPOSTS
Hugh and Craig Carlson own and
operate this air service and 12
outposts. They have 2 de Havilland
Beavers, 1 Cessna 185 and 1
Cessna 180. The outposts are on
a variety of lakes from small to
25 miles long, from 25 to 100 air
miles from Red Lake. Walleye and
northern are found in all the lakes
and some lakes have lake trout as
well. Unguided Moose Hunts are
a specialty. They fly canoers, other
property owners, government
people and adventurers. If you are
