What is one essential you
must have when studying?
Music. It really helps me
relax and concentrate on
what I’m doing.
What do you like to do when
not in school or studying?
I really enjoy hanging out
with my friends and just
watching sports on TV or
playing ping pong.
What is your dream job and
why?
My dream job would be
to own a successful business
in downtown Chicago. I just
think it would be really cool
to run a big business, especially
in a city like Chicago.

offers scholarships for
graduating Mokena
residents
The GFWC Mokena
Woman’s Club is once
again offering scholarships
to graduating Mokena high
school students pursuing
higher education.

at Lincoln-Way East,
Lincoln-Way Central and

don’t know about you?
I could play the ukulele. I
started playing a few years
ago just because I was looking
for something new to
do. It’s actually a really fun,
easy instrument to play.
Whom do you look up to and
why?
Definitely my mom. She’s
always there for me through
everything and always pushes
me to be a better man. I
couldn’t thank her enough
for everything she’s done for
me.
Who is your favorite teacher
and why?
I’d have to say it’s a tie
between Mr. Finnegan and
Mr. Tarala. They both understand
my personality and
always motivate me to do
Providence Catholic high
schools, as well as on the
school’s websites. It is also
available at the Mokena
Community Public Library
District for other students.

along with an official
transcript, a letter of career
goals and a letter of recommendation
must be postmarked
and received on or
before March 15. Completed
applications can be sent to
GFWC Mokena Woman’s
better. I loved being in both
of their classes.
What is your favorite class
and why?
AP Psychology is probably
my favorite class right
now. Mrs. Pehle is an awesome
teacher, and I find the
things we learn about to be
very interesting.
What is one thing that
stands out about your
school?
Our school spirit. No
school can compare to the
spirit we show. There’s so
much love and tradition at
Central, and it’s really amazing
to be a part of it.
If you could change one thing
about school, what would
it be?
Maybe just the air conditioning
in some rooms. That
could get annoying. Other
than that, I wouldn’t change
a thing. I love every part of
Lincoln-Way Central.
What is your best memory
from school?
Playing (and winning) my
first home football game as
a senior against Sandburg.
Playing in front of a crowd
like ours is definitely an unforgettable
experience.

were raised at the
Club’s 43rd Annual Holli-
Daze Arts and Crafts Show,
which is the club’s major
fundraiser and a year-round
project.
Over the past 54 years,
the club has awarded 196
scholarships totaling more
