Locating interruptions in cables
(single-pole application)
The signal is transmitted to the wire that is suspected to be
interrupted. The other wires are connected with the ground
jack on the transmitter, and with an earth. The signal is
traced with the receiver. The signal breaks off at the point
where the interruption takes place.
In closed circuits (double-pole application)
Closed circuits are suitable, for example, for locating
sockets, switches, fuses, etc. in domestic installations that
are energised. This application is possible either when
de-energised, or energised (from 90 - 270 V). The tracing
depth is approximately 0. . . 10 cm.
