Students will assist students with disabilities in
either an inclusion setting or the special education
classroom. Students will be expected to follow
the teacher’s instructions while implementing
program activities. Students must be approved by
the supervising teacher, special education teacher,
and the department chairperson.

Students will assist in many areas of the media
center. Responsibilities will include checking
in and out materials and equipment, processing
materials, assisting with the computers and other
media center equipment, helping with inventory,
shelving and filing periodicals and books. Students
may choose to be a technology specialist helping
with the computers or a traditional media center
helper, helping with the main collection of
materials. Assistants have priority in the use of all
new media resources.
