Our work with businesses
Our work with employers underpins everything we do.
Our programmes wouldn’t have as much of a profound impact
on our young people without volunteers providing that direct
access to the world of work. Volunteers work with the young
people through our workshops, masterclasses, mentoring
programmes and networking events to help them develop their
communication, self-awareness and teamwork skills.
Through sharing their own knowledge and experiences, our
young people are able to break down their perceptions of ‘City
workers’ and understand that the people who work within the
glass towers of London are just like them.
The children were very well
prepared and there was a good
balance of interaction. It’s been
great fun!”
Volunteer, Sapphire Systems
The experience was great
practice at thinking on my feet! It
was beneficial to meet younger
people who challenge your ideas.”
It allowed me to advise and
guide young students and it allowed
them to understand the business
world and how offices operate.”
