The practice is led by Dr. Terese Donch who is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. She believes in offering primary care that is personalized and she promotes a program of active health management that is individualized to address each person’s needs. Over her many years of practice Dr. Donch recognized the inherent limitations that existed when her focus was stretched to the limit by having a multitude of patients to see each day. She was increasingly unable to spend the kind of time needed to develop the relationship with each patient that provides the best care. She decided that a change had to be made. Just as people spend time and resources to ensure their financial future, Dr. Donch believes the same level of attention, if not more, is critical to ensure an individual’s health future. To those ends Dr. Donch has implemented a new approach to caring for her patients by offering an innovative, unique care model which started this year. Through her prevention-based active health management model, Dr. Donch provides a framework for all clients to be healthy by choice, not by chance. Dr. Donch believes that much of the illness in today’s world is determined by lifestyle which is largely ignored within the traditional medical practice. That traditional approach is based on episodic care, which involves only seeing patients when they are sick. Care at Greenwood Village Family Medicine is always provided by a physician that is focused not only on current ailments, but also on fostering a collaborative environment designed to equip patients with the tools they need to achieve optimal wellness. Current conditions are managed while developing strategies to help educate patients and keep them on track as they modify their lifestyle in an effort to prevent further illness. This is done by combining quality medicine with prevention-focused active health management. Empowering patients by giving them knowledge and emotional support to take the steps needed to improve their own health is the goal. BUSINESS CHAMBER MEMBER spotlight VOLCANO 9632 E ARAPAHOE ROAD, 303-662-8111 Volcano Asian Cuisine, also known as Volcano in the DTC area, has recently relocated to Greenwood Village, at 9632 E. Arapahoe Road, just east of I-25, in the west end of the Shops at Greenwood Village. At its previous location at Havana and Arapahoe in Centennial, Volcano was known for a wide variety of Chinese, Sushi and Hibachi Grill cooking. The new Volcano is a modern Chinese and Sushi restaurant with a selection of traditional Chinese dishes, such as Spicy Boiled Fish, Mini Pork Buns, etc. Arapahoe County Commissioner Nancy Sharpe; John Hebers, DTC/Greenwood Village Chamber of Commerce; and Mayor Ron Rakowsky celebrate Volcano grand opening. Volcano is a locally owned and operated small business. The owners, Jay and Xin, natives of China, who came to the U.S. for graduate school and worked in several corporations prior to their venture in the restaurant business, contribute their success to their diverse background and abilities to connect with customers and employees. For several years and counting, Volcano has been a key supporter of the Cherry Creek Diversity Conference, Integrated Family Community Services, and many organizations within Asian communities. Among Volcano’s notable fans are Colorado’s very own Denver Broncos, to whom Volcano has been catering for the past three years.
