Aditya Roy Kapur was born<br />
in Mumbai on 16 November<br />
1985 and he lived in US for<br />
10 years, to a Punjabi father<br />
and an Indian Jewish mother,<br />

Aaron. Kapur is the youngest<br />
of the three siblings, his<br />
eldest brother Siddharth Roy<br />

Roy Kapur is also an actor.<br />

teachers, who introduced<br />
the Sama dance to India. He<br />
did his schooling from G. D.<br />

in Cuffe Parade, Mumbai,<br />
where all his siblings studied<br />
and where his mother<br />
directed school plays.<br />
Subsequently, he graduated<br />
from St. Xavier's College.<br />
Kapur is not a trained actor,<br />
though he has taken dance<br />
lessons and also diction<br />
classes to improve his Hindi<br />
accent. According to him he<br />
"had no burning ambition to<br />
become an actor," and was<br />
content being a VJ, until he<br />
was called to audition for<br />
London Dreams. During his<br />
school years, he wanted to<br />
be a cricketer but he quit<br />
cricket coaching classes after<br />
sixth standard.<br />
Kapur started his career<br />
as a VJ on music channel<br />
Channel V, where his comic<br />
timing and "unique style of<br />
hosting" made him a hit. He<br />
then made his film debut in<br />
2009 playing a minor role in<br />
Vipul Shah's musical drama<br />
London Dreams starring<br />
Salman Khan,Asin, Ajay<br />
Devgan. The film was not<br />
well received by critics, and<br />
was unsuccessful at the box<br />
office.<br />
Kapur was next seen in the<br />
science fiction romantic<br />
comedy Action Replayy<br />
(2010) starring Akshay<br />
