SHOWCASING
THE SUNDAY
TIMES RESILIENT
HOME DESIGN
COMPETITION
Homes are being built in England’s highest risk flood areas
at almost twice the rate of housing development outside
flood plains, storing up problems for the future. As a special
feature at the show, Flood and Coast 2017 will showcase
The 2016 Sunday Times British Homes Awards Resilient
Home Design Competition winning and commended
companies and individuals. There will be a full display
area showcasing both the innovation and design of these
adaptable flood resilient homes.
2016 Winner
» JTP Architects and Ed Barsley: A Home for all Seasons
The WINNING entry in The Sunday Times Resilient Home
Design Competition, was designed by Ed Barsley in
collaboration with JTP.
‘The ‘Home for All Seasons’
is designed to take extreme
weather in its stride – a place
to live in comfort throughout
the year. Whether torrential rain
causes flooding, blazing sun
causes a heatwave or it’s so
cold that there’s a big freeze, the
‘Home for All Seasons’ will keep
you safe and sound.’
