Burciaga G.L. (1940 -.W.
October 7, 1996).
He was a Chicano artist, poet, and
writer from El Paso, Texas who
explored issues of Chicano identity
and American society. At Stanford
University in California, Tony and
his wife Cecilia became Resident
Fellows in Casa Zapata, a unique
Chicano theme dormitory where
approximately half of the residents
were Chicano undergraduate
students.
