<strong>Miami</strong> <strong>Dade</strong> <strong>College</strong>’s open-door<br />
admissions policy provides educational<br />
opportunities to community residents<br />
and to national and international applicants.<br />
Anyone seeking to benefit from<br />
the degree or short-term certificate programs,<br />
or from the <strong>College</strong>’s student<br />
and community services, is encouraged<br />
to enroll. The <strong>College</strong> welcomes all students<br />
regardless of sex, race, color, religion,<br />
marital status, age, national origin<br />
or disability.<br />

<strong>Miami</strong> <strong>Dade</strong> <strong>College</strong> offers a wide range of programs designed to meet the needs of Greater <strong>Miami</strong>. The <strong>College</strong> offers<br />
five degree options and a wide range of occupational certificates and specialized programs. The Associate in Arts<br />
degree (A.A.), designed to prepare students for further study at four-year institutions, includes more than 80 areas of<br />
concentration. MDC maintains more than 60 transfer agreements with colleges and universities across the state and<br />
country, guaranteeing entry for MDC students who meet the entry criteria. The Associate in Science degree (A.S.),<br />
with more than 60 areas of study, prepares students for direct entry into the workforce. Our A.S. graduates take advantage of the<br />
<strong>College</strong>’s numerous partnerships with innovative businesses throughout South Florida. <strong>Miami</strong> <strong>Dade</strong> <strong>College</strong> currently offers the following<br />
baccalaureate degrees: the Bachelor of Science in Education - Biology, Chemistry Earth & Space Science, Physics, Mathematics,<br />
and Exceptional Student Education, the Bachelor of Science in Nursing, the Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering<br />
Technology and the Bachelor of Applied Science with a major in Public Safety Management, the Bachelor of Applied Science with<br />
a major in Supervision and Management, the Bachelor of Applied Science with a major in Film, Television and Digital Production,<br />
and the Bachelor of Applied Science with a major in Health Sciences with an Option in Physician Assistant Studies. Additional baccalaureate<br />
degrees/programs are planned for the coming years. In addition to these degrees, the <strong>College</strong> offers numerous short-term<br />
occupational certificate programs as well as courses of study to enhance career knowledge through continuing education.<br />
Admission is a simple process, requiring<br />
a completed application form and<br />
official transcripts of high school or<br />
college studies. International applicants<br />
have additional entrance requirements<br />
based on U.S. immigration rules and<br />
baccalaureate degree seeking applicants<br />
may have additional entrance requirements..<br />
Transfer students may receive<br />
credit for courses that equate to <strong>Miami</strong><br />
<strong>Dade</strong> courses.<br />
