the annual Pipe Band
Competition!
An annual family favourite
day out is back - enjoy the
sight, sound and spectacle
of some of the top pipe
bands from throughout
Scotland and beyond.
The sixth annual Paisley
Pipe Band Competition
will take place in the heart
of the town centre.
Bands will gather on the High Street and march down towards the final tuning
area at the Cenotaph, before heading down to the judging area in County
Square.
There, judges from the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association – West of Scotland
branch, will judge the bands on their performances across the various grades.

their way round the 10.25 miles of Cumbrae, but were
rewarded with
a fantastic
fun-filled
afternoon
back at the
Garrison
where they
were entertained by children’s
entertainer Kidnetick and a range

there in all their glory, with their
pretend fighting and stories of old.
An owl charity showed the birds off
to the local children and a pipe band
lead the bikes in a great parade.

including a truck from the Greenock
Fire Museum and Heritage Centre.

Accord Hospice Grand Prix
The teams thought it was a memorable
experience and were keen to do it again.

Bikers Rally for
Erskine
Late May saw motorbikes in all sizes and
colours flock to Erskine Hospital for a day
of fun.
Four teams from Paisley and surrounding
villages competed to see who were the
greatest drivers and competitors.
