Eight’s Mission
Eight / KAET is a trusted community resource that enriches the lives of all Arizonans through quality
programs and education services that inform, inspire and delight.
We specialize in the education of children, in-depth news and public affairs, lifelong learning, and the
celebration of arts and culture. We accomplish this through the power of noncommercial television, the
Internet, other media, educational outreach services, and other community-based initiatives.
Now more than ever − public television is both relevant and of great value to the American public.
Available free to everyone, Eight, Arizona PBS is the only media service driven by the mission to inform,
educate, inspire and engage. Eight IS our community’s media partner.

foster public dialogue and educate and inform in ways that provide new opportunities for Arizonans to
improve their lives and livelihoods.
