Because of the linear direction of this typology, it has the potential of creating clear define urban spaces. With its different ways of arrangement, the linear typology either creates public or rather private spaces. In order to reach higher levels, one either needs plenty staircases or arcades, due to its divided inner cell structure. To get direct sunlight in each cell, the orientation of the whole building is limited.
