Construction and dismantling Stand construction
The exhibition halls will be open for stand construction as
of 7 a.m. from 11 October.
Stands must be ready and complete with all registered
exhibits by 6 p.m. on 22 October.
Stand dismantling
Stands may not be dismantled, even partially, before
the official conclusion of the exhibition at 3 p.m. on 27
October.
Vehicles will be allowed to enter the exhibition halls from 6
p.m.. Stand dismantling and the clearing of display areas
must be completed by 6 p.m. on 1 November.

permitted. For safety reasons, only authorised Deutsche
Messe staff are permitted to disconnect utility services
to stands. You can avoid delays in having the utilities
disconnected by making an appointment well in advance.
Exhibitors are emphatically warned not to disconnect
or shut off supply lines themselves. The exhibitor is
liable for any accidents or damage resulting from such
action.

Emission Zone Permits
(windscreen stickers)
Hannover has established an official "Emission Zone"
roughly defined by the expressways (Schnellwege)
encircling the city centre. The Emission Zone is indicated
by signs reading "Umweltzone". Only vehicles which meet
certain minimum requirements are permitted to enter the
Emission Zone. To demonstrate compliance, an official
permit (disc-shaped sticker) must be displayed on every
vehicle's windscreen. Official permits can be ordered direct

Exhibitor & visitor survey As at preceding events, both exhibitors and visitors will be
surveyed during the exhibition.
Exhibitors will be asked about their objectives and
the success of their participation, while visitors will be
questioned to determine their professional background and
how they rate the exhibition.

Exhibitor passes If stand fees have been paid by the due date, the
appropriate number of exhibitor passes allotted for the
confirmed stand area will be dispatched to the exhibitors
automatically.
Therefore, please ensure that the invoices sent to you
are paid promptly. A valid exhibitor pass is required for
admission to the grounds during the exhibition. In the event
that you cancel your participation, the passes become
invalid and you are requested to return them. Please see
the conditions for orders and payment in our OBS system
under "Exhibitor passes". To order additional passes or if
your allotment was not dispatched in time to reach you,
please go to the ticket counter to pick up the passes upon
presentation of written authorisation from your company.
This counter is situated in Hall 13 (gallery, west side) and
is open from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. from 19 October until 27
October 2012.

Admission is by invitation only.
Exhibitors will be notified in advance about how to order

Listing in electronic media
during the exhibition
During the show, in order to supplement information on
your products in electronic media, you must submit your
request in person at the change office of the Convention
Center (CC), where you will be asked to present your
exhibitor pass and business card. For errors in the
address, you can simply call the office.
To include a new co-exhibitor, the main exhibitor must
submit a request in writing to the organisers, Mack Brooks
Exhibitions Ltd. Following processing, the co-exhibitor can
supplement the product information through the change

Motor vehicle traffic Only motor vehicles with a special permit are allowed on
the exhibition grounds from 23 to 27 October. Vehicles
driven or parked on the grounds without an official entry
permit will be towed away at the owner's/driver's expense.
The exhibition grounds and car parks are private property,
and the roads are not public thoroughfares. Drivers use
them at their own risk.
The regulations of the German Traffic Act (StVO -
"Straßenverkehrsordnung") apply. Drivers must give way to
the right; there are no priority roads, and the speed limit of
20 kilometres per hour must be strictly observed.
(Please refer to point 4 of General Regulations of Deutsche
Messe for the Exhibition Grounds and Parking Facilities in
the Technical Regulations.)

The parking of lorries is subject to the following regulations:
During the stand construction period (17-19 and 22),
during the exhibition (23-27) and the dismantling period (28
October), the West 45 car park will serve as the lorry entry
point and overflow lorry car park. Long-term parking can
be found at Ost (East) 11-13.
Parking of lorries in car parking bays during the exhibition
is prohibited. All exhibitors are kindly requested to inform
their subcontractors (haulage companies and/or stand
builders) about this parking regulation. Parking bays for
lorries are signposted clearly by Parking Administration
(GfV).

Patent protection, Priority
certificates
For products displayed at the event, exhibitors can apply
during the show for a Priority Certificate for registered
designs, utility models and trademarks. The exhibitor then
has the opportunity to apply for certain Intellectual Property
Rights within 6 months after the show.
The issue date of the Priority Certificate will be accepted as
the application date by the German Patent and Trademark
Office, thus ensuring a time lead over counterfeiters.
Please note that in Germany, Priority Certificates do not
apply to patent applications.

Public transport to the show From the Central Railway Station (Hauptbahnhof) or
city centre, take tram lines 8 or 18 to the "Messe/Nord"
terminus. A shuttle bus will transport you from there to the
entrances.
From Hannover Airport take the urban rail link (S-Bahn)
to the Central Railway Station (Hauptbahnhof) and
transfer to any train stopping at the "Hannover Messe/
Laatzen" station. From there, take the skywalk to the
West 1 entrance. Alternatively, take the airport shuttle
departing from arrivals level C for the West 1 entrance.

Rail connections During the exhibition certain northbound and southbound
trains stop at "Hannover Messe/Laatzen" railway station.
From there, a skywalk takes you directly to the West 1
entrance. You can also take a train to the Central Railway
Station (Hauptbahnhof) and transfer to tram lines 8 or 18,
which provide frequent service to the exhibition centre
("Messe/Nord" terminal). See also "Public transport"

Transport vehicles will be granted entry to the exhibition
grounds as of 6 p.m. on the final day of the show. Removal
vehicles will be directed by traffic wardens to a specified
marshalling area for interim parking, subject to a charge.
Signs marked "LKW" (German abbreviation for "trucks")
are posted along all approach routes, showing drivers
where to go. Please contact your own haulage contractor
well in advance of the dismantling date to arrange for
the removal work and the supply of fork lifts and other
transport equipment.
