DELIVERING AADHAAR SERVICES

AADHAAR SEEDING SERVICE FOR BANKS:
CSC e-Governance Services has launched one more service to help the citizens to seed
their Aadhaar number in their respective Bank Accounts using e-KYC platform. So far, 10
banks namely CBI/PNB/Union Bank/ICICI etc are using this service.
AADHAAR AUTHENTICATION & E-KYC SERVICES:
The UIDAI has been created with the mandate of providing a unique identity (Aadhaar)
number to all residents of India and also defining usages and applicability of Aadhaar for
delivery of various services. As a first of its kind service, the electronic Know Your Customer
(e-KYC) service of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) is transforming
the entire KYC process by making it paperless, instantaneous, secure, economical and
non-repudiable. These services help enhance citizen convenience and greatly increase
business efficiency across sectors that require proof of identity and address.
a. AUA/ASA (Authentication User/Service Agency):
Process by which the Aadhaar number, along with other attributes, such as
demographics/biometrics/OTP is submitted to UIDAI's CIDR for verification.
b. KUA/KSA (e-KYC User/Service Agency):
E-KYC is a service offered by UIDAI through which the KYC procedure is carried out
electronically. Resident authorizes/Consented UIDAI to provide service providers
his/her demographic data Demographic information of the resident includes name,
address, date of birth, gender, phone, email ID and photograph.
