Sidmouth has so much to offer
the visitor, it's worth spending the
time pre-visit, working-out where
everything is located.
There really is so much to do and see at Sidmouth,
you're spoilt for choice, whether you're a day visitor
from another part of Devon (it's a big county!), or
from further afield. It's said that the visitor trend
these days is shifting towards shorter, but more
frequent visits, which is particularly easy for Devon
residents looking to explore their county. When the
weather's fine, is there anywhere better, particularly
when you consider all the hassle, cost and danger
of flying these days, staycations are much less
stressful and greater fun. It's also satisfying to
be pro-British by making sure our holiday spend
benefits our own economy.
There's sandy beaches, rockpools, exotic cliff-top
gardens, verdant walks and unspoilt countryside,
elegant regency buildings and architecture, a
myriad of restaurants and coffee shops in the
vibrant town that also provides the visitor with a
great shopping experience.
I have to confess that we're slightly biased here
at Devonshire magazine because we're based in
Sidmouth, but that makes us well placed to tell you
