Make sure your

comfortably then
begin the relaxation
experience, starting
from the neck and
working up to the
head.
1. Massage from
the neck down
to the shoulders
with small circular
movements.
Repeat 3 times.
2. Spray Color
Nourishing Shield
over the hair.
3. Massage gently using the
Maraes brushes, starting from the
forehead and continuing down the
lenght of the hair.
Every so often press down gently
on the scalp to encourage the
customer to relax.

Follow these tips to ensure the treatments deliver the best results and to create a relaxing
and comfortable environment:
• Choose a Maraes Ritual Specialist from the salon staff and train her;
• If possible, create a relaxing environment with music and candles;
• Perform a precise diagnosis with the clients;
• Apply the products carefully, with relaxed, gentle movements;
• Never remove your hands from the client’s body between steps;
• Never leave a client to go and do something else when you are in the middle of a a massage;
• Repeat the movements in each step at least 3 times;
• Finish any massage by releasing the tension on the shoulders.

Divide the hair up. Apply the

and ends using the Maraes Brush
and twist the strands to help
the product penetrate the shaft.
Leave for 10 minutes.
STEP 7
Apply Color Nourishing Mask for
increased hydration and to lock in
the Doppio Elixir treatment. Leave
for 3-5 minutes then rinse.
STEP 8
Towel hair dry then spray Sleek

THE AUAHI RITUAL
Destressing massage
Auahi means «Fire».
This is an element found in every person. This massage moves
upwards to the head.
REGENERATIVE
To follow 4 steps to relieve the stress of our everyday lives.
1. Start your massage
at the top of the head,
making that initial contact
with the customer.
Apply light pressure, the
customer must be able
to feel it.
2. Using both hands, massage
the temples on both sides of
the head gently with circular
movements to ease tension.
The massage relaxes and
clears the head of worrying
thoughts.
3. Hold the head firmly
with one hand and with the
other perform raking strokes,
applying slight pressure with
the tips of your fingers.
Repeat on the other side.
4. Gather up the hair
and pull it upwards, as
if you were putting it in
a ponytail; pull it lightly
upwards to stimulate
blood circulation.
Repeat each step at least 3 times.

STEP 4
Divide the hair up. Apply the

ends using the Maraes Brush
and twist the strands to help the
product penetrate the shaft. Leave
for 10 minutes.
STEP 7
Apply Color Nourishing Mask for
increased hydration and to lock in

for 3-5 minutes then rinse.
STEP 8
Towel hair dry and apply Color

THE MAMU RITUAL
Relaxing massage
RESTORATIVE
Mamu means «keep calm».
Make sure your customer is sitting comfortably and make your initial
contact with her starting from the shoulders.
1. Start from the top of
the vertebral column
and massage gently in
circular movements with
your thumbs, working up
to the neck.
2. Place your hands on the
sides of the head with your
fingers open and pointing
upwards. Apply light pressure
and move your hands slowly
upwards like you would if
you were shampooing the
hair. Try to keep the base of
your hands and your fingers
touching the scalp.
3. Cup the head in your
palms and apply gentle
pressure using light circular
movements starting from the
front of the head. Let the final
strokes pull the head slightly
backwards. Repeat this
process three times.
4. Finish by massaging
the hair gently in a
downward direction,
touching the nape
lightly to release tension
downwards.
Repeat each step at least 3 times.

Leave for 3-5 minutes then rinse.
STEP 8
At the end of the rinse, pour cold
water over the hair to stimulate the
microcirculation of the blood. Style

THE HAERE RITUAL
Toning massage
REVITALIZING
Haere means «Pleasure».
Stimulate microcirculation of the blood with energetic but gentle
movements.
1. Support the head with your
left hand and make circular
movements at the base
of the neck with your right
hand. Continue for around 10
seconds then invert the direction
for a further 10 seconds.
2. Cup both sides of the head
with your hands and massage
from the top downwards,
exerting slight pressure from
the palm of your hand to your
fingertips.
3. Place your thumbs firmly
on the customer’s head and
apply pressure, alternating
the pressure of all the fingers
at the same time to stimulate
microcirculation.
4. Finish the massage off
with circular movements
starting at the center of
the head, transferring any
tension to the shoulders.
Repeat each step at least 3 times.
