TORRIJAS<br />

INGREDIENTS:<br />

• 1 loaf of bread in<br />

slices<br />

• 1 1/2 liter of milk<br />

• Skin of a lemon<br />

• Skin of an orange<br />

• 2 cinnamon sticks<br />

• 2 teaspoons ground<br />

cinnamon<br />

• 50 gr white sugar<br />

• 6 eggs<br />

• 250 gr honey<br />

STEPS:<br />

‣ First, we will put the milk to heat<br />

along with the skin of the orange<br />

and the lemon, the cinnamon and the<br />

sugar and we let it boil so that<br />

the milk takes the aromas and<br />

flavors of the spices. Meanwhile,<br />

place the bread slices in a deep<br />

dish.<br />

‣ Then once the milk is very hot,<br />

pour it over the slices of bread.<br />

‣ Next in a cup beat the eggs and we<br />

pass the torrijas by the beaten<br />

egg, being careful not to break<br />

them, since they are well wet. We<br />

put the torrijas in a source for<br />

the covered oven and we put them<br />

in the oven.<br />

‣ After that in a pot, put the honey<br />

and a stream of water.<br />

‣ Finally let it boil and ready.
