Why choose our program for your child?
Prospective parents often ask, “What makes for a great pre-school?” Here at the JCC,
we offer your child consistent opportunities for exploration, learning and discovery,
starting from infancy all the way through to pre-k. We understand the importance of
establishing a rapport between caregiver and parents. Therefore, we encourage parent

FALL 2017 REGiStRAtion
Registration continues for the Early
Childhood Development Program (ECDP)
2017-2018 school year. Enrollment has been
moving very quickly and some classrooms
are already full. The JCC of Syracuse
2017–2018 school year scholarship
application deadline is July 17, 2017.
Scholarships are based on income. For
more information about our program and
to schedule a tour, please contact Pam
Ranieri, early childhood director, at 315-

tEACHER APPRECiAtion dinnER
Many thanks to everyone who donated to
help purchase Target gift cards which were
presented to all teaching staff during the
Teacher Appreciation Dinner on May 4.
We appreciate your generosity in helping
us make this a successful event!

Parent teacher conferences will be held
May 8–19. We hope that this second
meeting will provide a fascinating and
fresh look at your child’s growth and
development through the eyes of another
Summer Camp
Summer is a time for fun in
the sun and swimming!
Camp sneak preview
ECDP preschoolers will
soon be able to experience the fun and
excitement of summer camp during the
school year! May 30 – June 2 is camp sneak
preview week during regular morning
preschool hours. The children will enjoy a
variety of summer camp related arts and
caring adult—your child’s teacher.
Parents attending the conferences will
receive a copy of their child’s individual
development and learning report. If you
are unable to attend, please cancel in
advance by calling 315-445-2040, ext. 120.
AnnUAL BASKEt RAFFLE
We’re gearing up for one of our biggest
and most fun fundraising events of the
year! Each classroom will be creating a
special themed basket to be raffled off.
We ask that each family please bring in an
item or two by Friday, June 2 to help fill
their basket. The completed baskets will
be displayed near the front office. Raffle
tickets will be sold from Monday, June 5
through Monday, June 19. Your help in
selling tickets to friends and family is
much appreciated! Tickets cost 1 for $1,
6 for $5, 13 for $10 or 30 for $20. The
winners will be drawn on Tuesday, June 20.
You do not need to be present to win.
End-oF-yEAR CELEBRAtionS
We will celebrate the end of the 2016-2017
school year with the children putting
on some special performances. Parents
crafts projects, games, outdoor activities and
special treats.
Registration
Our summer camp program runs weekly
(monthly for infants) from June 26 through
August 18. A variety of flexible weekly
enrollment options are available.

of children in classrooms 4 and 5 are
invited to join us on June 9 for “Songs and
Sundaes.” During this very special circle
time, parents can join their children in
singing some of the songs we learned this
year, and enjoy an ice cream treat together.
On June 14 the children in classrooms 6,
7 and 8 will participate in their “Moving
Up Morning” celebration as they perform
some special songs. The children in rooms
A, B and 2 will take center stage on June
19, performing for family and friends
during the Annual Pre-K Graduation
Ceremony. After the graduates receive
their diplomas, families are invited to
celebrate this special day with a pre-k
picnic. Invitations will be sent in June.
