St Barnabas
Is marking its 30th anniversary year in
2012 by launching a raft of initiatives -
propelling it into an exciting new era for
the growing number of people benefitting
from its specialist end-of-life care both
now and in the future.
The hospice has touched the lives of thousands
of Lincolnshire families since it became one of
the first in the UK to open its doors in 1982.
And thanks to the generosity of the
community, and the skills of its staff and
volunteers, it has stayed at the national
forefront of personalised and high quality
patient care ever since.

Chief Executive Sarah-Jane Mills said: “Most
people living in Lincolnshire will know of
somebody that we have cared for and
supported over the past 30 years – it may be a
family member, a friend, a neighbour, a work
colleague, or it may even be themselves.
“As a listening organisation as well as a caring
one, we are launching new initiatives to
ensure we continue to meet the needs and
wishes of local people, who say that they want
increased support at home, and a greater
involvement in controlling the care they
receive in their final days.
“We look forward to the people of
Lincolnshire joining us in marking our special
year and contributing to our future success
caring for our patients and their families
across the county.”
