William James, who<br />
taught psychology and<br />
philosophy at Harvard<br />
University during the<br />
late 1800s said, “<strong>The</strong><br />
greatest discovery of my generation is<br />
that human beings can alter their lives<br />
by altering their attitudes of mind.” By<br />
changing your mind, you change your<br />
leadership. Our choice of attitude in<br />
leadership and towards leadership is<br />
absolutely critical. Many times it is not<br />
what happens to us that determines our<br />
success in leadership, but what happens in<br />
us. That means that a great leader needs<br />
to understand that it is not what he leaves<br />
behind for the people he or she leads but<br />
what he leaves behind in them. Some<br />
parents are struggling and can move to<br />
any length whether through proper means<br />
or not to acquire great wealth for their<br />
children. But I wish to remind them that<br />
it is not what you leave behind for your<br />
children but what you leave in them. This<br />
